Auntie Pasto’s could just as easily be found in the Little Italy section of New York, but that’s not the reason to visit this bistro in Bellaire. Go for the heavenly dessert called To Die For, a luscious pastry stacked with layers of ladyfingers, creamy mascarpone cheese, almond torte and seasonal berries. Still you may want to delay the gratification of the sweet hereafter with some surprisingly inventive dishes. They’re served in an atmosphere that is comfortable enough to accommodate the whole family, yet trendy enough to attract real foodies. This is primarily an Italian menu where you’ll find cilantro fettuccini with jalapenos and crawfish, and black pepper fettuccini with shrimp.
